Further education
Asset Languages is a unique assessment scheme which supports language teaching with a wide range of learners in further and adult education.
As an assessment scheme, Asset fits around your existing schemes of work, and offers a flexible and motivational tool to benchmark and reward achievement.
As well as French, German and Spanish, Asset offers assessment in 25 different languages, from Arabic to Yoruba. The option of testing in one or two skills, at different times during the year, builds confidence and encourages learners to keep making progress.
Whether it's external assessment, leading to nationally-recognised qualifications, or more informal teacher assessment you are after, Asset Languages gives students credit for what they can do.
Post 16/FE
Asset Languages rewards the progress of language learning at any level for FE students. It can assess the progress of beginners on immersion courses or on courses with a language content such as travel and tourism, as well as complement more traditional AS/A level study. (Advanced Stage Asset qualifications earn UCAS points for entry into Higher Education).
Higher education
Within universities, Asset Languages can be used in a variety of ways; as part of a main programme of study, for students taking extra-curricular language classes, for members of staff and business professionals and members of the public; Asset matches the different needs and abilities of all learners.
Adult education
Asset's flexibility and breadth of languages make it very suitable as an assessment tool for a range of language courses. The option of testing in separate skills and of taking tests at several points throughout the year is accessible and motivational for exam-wary adult learners.
Asset test material is accessible for a broad range of learners with clearly laid out papers and questions in English.
